Katrina is in a foster home ~ 40 acres

Kartina is gaining weight and enjoying her new pasture mates on 40 acres in Cumming, GA. Her caretaker, Alicia, says she is a perfect horse and bombproof. Though she hasn't been ridden yet, she will be ready for a 'test ride' soon. Katrina will make a great child's horse. Being older, we would like only children to ride her rather than an adult weight.

Won't stop eating!

I will try and get her to stop eating for a few minutes to photograph her head. She is just so hungry she won't stop eating grass. I put her with a small herd of horses. There are 8 others on 60 acres. I put her in the pasture and she put her head down and started eating. the other horses tried to chase her, the geldings bowed up at her, the mares swirled around her but Katrina kept eating. A week later, I am trying to take a picture and Kat is still eating!

Katrina

This is Katrina, ASA Kat. She is an 18 year old bay Paso Fino mare. She is very underweight but gaining. She came to the rescue farm through Tennessee through Chance's Mini Horse Rescue. Since they do not do regular size horses, I agreed to take Kat. She was even thinner before Susan from Chance's picked her up. She was also being ridden, in that condition! Kat was supposedly miss placed during Hurricane Katrina and ended up in Tennessee. If anyone recognizes her, please contact me. It is amazing what stories come attached with the horses. Our biggest concern is what happens to her from now on. She needs love and care and plenty of TLC. She is available for adoption or foster. Contact Cheryl at Horseinc@aol.com
